During the event, Prof. M. Marcin Wiechec MD PhD, together with Agnieszka Nocuń MD, PhD, presented the groundbreaking importance of using AI to support the physician in the future. The huge potential to improve efficiency in WWS diagnosis and the implementation model for the doctor’s daily work. To illustrate that the solutions of the future, may already be at hand, the assumptions and achievements of our project were presented. Ultra Pregna Scan (LPTW). We are pleased with the great interest of the conference participants and more people who want to join the team which will soon be able to start testing the prototype solution.
The Cardio Prenatal Conference 17-18.05.2024 is addressed to obstetricians, perinatologists, pediatric cardiologists, neonatologists, geneticists, radiologists, pediatric cardiac surgeons, midwives, nurses, physical therapists, research staff of Medical Universities.
“It is a difficult and demanding field of medicine. It contributes to the development of neonatal cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiology. It creates opportunities for cardiac surgeons to treat newborns early, rather than late treatment of cyanotic heart defects and their complications, as used to be the case” Thanks to prenatal cardiology, diagnosis of heart defects in newborns is carried out in the asymptomatic period. Prenatal and especially pre-natal cardiac diagnosis provides greater opportunities for pediatric cardiologists to use interventional treatment in the first hours of a newborn’s life.
Prenatal cardiac diagnosis is the best link in perinatal care to make the newborn’s time in the hospital the shortest, that is, the cheapest!
